Jonty

Jonty, a Red Kelpie, has been a part of life at Waipara Springs Winery since 1997, but life hasn't always been so glamourous!

He spent is early years being brought up by five males in a University flat in central Christchurch.

Renowned for often getting out, Jonty once ended up in Riccarton Mall and was often found wandering the streets of Hoon Hay.

Now at the winery, his wandering days are over. And with "wine dog" status, Jonty now enjoys plenty of attention. Jonty can usually be found by the fire or lazing in a garden bed soaking up the sun.

Pet hate: Being ignored

Likes: Plenty of attention, warm days

Known accomplice: Willie (below)

Willie

While not enjoying the same status as Jonty, Willie, is a regular visitor to the Winery during weekdays.

A Blue Heeler, Willie at 6 years old, is Jonty's favourite accomplice.

While knowing his place, Willie will often try to get away with buttering up customers for tidbits and looking out for anything that might fall off a table.

Pet hate: Being told to get out of the kitchen

Likes: Treats of any description
