Cellar Notes

Twenty nine-year old un-grafted Mendoza clone Chardonnay vines have produced a wine of intensely concentrated flavours and aromas. Un-fined juice with full solids underwent a ‘wild fermentation’ in French oak barriques to create a wine of structure and complexity.

Tasting Notes

This wine has been crafted from ungrafted 29 year old Mendoza vines grown on limestone rich a soil. It shows complex aromas of toasted pineapple with almonds and hazelnut and a lovely spice of cardamom. The palate is rich and beautifully balanced with great minerality, which is built around the ripe phenolic structure of this wine. This wine will reward patient cellaring. Food: Match with chicken or vegetable pasta dishes.
